Visiting UNC Charlotte
UNC Charlotte is the largest institution in the area and a big reason University City exists. Even if you're not a student, the campus offers performances, exhibitions, athletics, and gardens that are open to the public.

University City Living is an independent publication. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by the university; always check official university sources for schedules, tickets, and policies.
Getting to campus
The Blue Line's UNC Charlotte–Main station is located on campus, making rail a practical option for events. Driving visitors should check the university's parking information, as permits and event parking rules apply.
Arts and performances
The College of Arts + Architecture presents music, theater, dance, and visual art throughout the academic year. Many events are open to the public; consult the college's calendar for dates and ticketing.
Athletics
The Charlotte 49ers compete in NCAA Division I. Football is played at Jerry Richardson Stadium and basketball at Dale F. Halton Arena. Game days bring traffic and parking changes around campus — plan ahead if you live nearby.
Gardens
The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens include outdoor gardens and a greenhouse. Hours and seasonal events are posted on the gardens' official site.
